A graduate of McMaster University with an M.A. in English, Jean McCallion was a founding member of The Tower Poetry Society (www.towerpoetry.ca) in 1951, an organization in which she remained an active participant for most of her life. Her poems about nature, life, family and love are enriched by sensitive phrasing, and the effective use of metaphors and internal rhymes.
